IMMUNOMAX AVEXIMA - immunomodulatory agent (acidic peptide glycan)

IMMUNOMAX enhances the immune protection against viral and bacterial infections.

Immunopharmacological mechanisms of action of the preparation are that Immunomax activates the following parts of the immune system:

• NK cells that, 2-3 hours after exposure to Immunomax, overexpress CD69 activation molecules. The cytolytic activity of NK cells increases 3 times;
• circulating monocytes 2-4 hours after activation by Immunomax begin to secrete cytokines: interleukin-8, interleukin-1 (3 and tumor necrosis factor alpha;
• Neutrophil granulocytes are activated by monocytes, the preparation does not have a direct effect on neutrophil granulocytes. Interleukin-8 secreted by monocytes causes activation of neutrophilic granulocytes, which is clearly manifested 24 hours after exposure to Immunomax;
• tissue macrophages, which manifests itself in a change in the morphology of these cells, an increase in the production of bactericidal substances, a change in the activity of 5'-nucleotidase;
• the formation of antibodies against foreign antigens, soluble and corpuscular;

Immunomax enhances protection against infections caused by viruses (human papillomavirus, herpes simplex virus, parvovirus, canine distemper virus, etc.) or bacteria (E. coli, salmonella, staphylococcus, chlamydia, mycoplasma, ureaplasma, etc.). This effect of the preparation is manifested in adults and newborns with the introduction of Immunomax in various ways: intramuscularly, intravenously, intraperitoneally, per os.

Indications for use:

• correction of compromised immunity;
• treatment of pathologic conditions (condylomas, verrucas, dysplasia, etc.) caused by human papillomavirus;
• treatment of infections caused by herpes simplex virus, chlamydia, mycoplasma, ureaplasma, and other bacteria and viruses.

Composition:

Immunomax 200 U. Sodium chloride 8.1 mg; 7.2 mg.

Method of administration and posology:

Before use, dissolve preparation in 1 mL of water for injection.

Recommended dose for adults and children aged 12 years old and over is 100-200 U depending on the disease severity.

Preparation is injected intramuscularly once daily.

Course – 6 injections on treatment days 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 10.

Lyophilizate for solution for intramuscular injection. 200 U in a vial. 3 vials.
