THYMOGEN® spray increases the content of secretory immunoglobulin (sIg A) in the upper respiratory tract, thereby increasing the body's defense against viruses at the site of first contact. Thymogen spray normalizes the reactions of T-cells of the immune system, increasing the body's resistance to all types of pathogens. Thymogen spray stimulates the regeneration of the nasal mucosa. How to reduce the risk of getting SARS:

The most reasonable and acceptable alternative may be the use of immunomodulating agents, such as Thymogen. The meaning of the use of Thymogen during the period of increased incidence of acute respiratory viral infections is that the drug increases the resistance of the human body to infection with the virus (by activating cells of innate and acquired immunity).

In order for the pathogen to cause disease in a person taking Thymogen for prophylactic purposes, the dose of the virus must be higher than for those who do not. Most often, the dose of virus that a person using Thymogen can meet is insufficient for the development of a manifest (real) disease, but it is sufficient for the formation of resistance to circulating viruses (i.e., the production of specific antibodies). Of course, it does not follow from this that, for example, Thymogen spray should be used constantly (year-round), but periodic its use during a period of increased morbidity (epidemic season) among the population in short courses lasting 7-10 days will be useful and will reduce the risk of ARVI .

Ingredients:

In one dose (0.1 ml) of the drug.
Active ingredient: alpha-glutamyl-tryptophan (Thymogen sodium in terms of thymogen) 25 μg.
Excipients: sodium chloride 900 μg, benzalkonium chloride 10 μg, purified water to 0.1 ml.

Dosage:

Hold the base with your thumb and hold the nozzle of the dispenser between your middle and forefinger.
Insert the nozzle of the dispensing device into the nasal passage in a vertical upward position. Press the nozzle once.
The drug is administered intranasally (into the nose) in doses:
Adults: 1 dose (one injection) in each nasal passage 2 times a day for 10 days for therapeutic purposes or for 3-5 days for prophylactic purposes.
Children: from 1 year to 6 years old 1 dose in one nasal passage once a day, from 7 to 14 years old 1 dose in each nasal passage once a day. The drug is used for 10 days for therapeutic purposes or for 3-5 days for prophylactic purposes.
A treatment course can be repeated no earlier than 1 month later.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to drug components. Children up to age 1 year.
